Thank you for your incredibly warm welcome as I have come on board as your new CEO. I’m Heidi Ortolaza-Alvear, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be here to serving alongside you in support of this incredible community.
Walking through the clinic over the past couple weeks, I’ve marveled at the sense of coming home.
While I was born in Puerto Rico, I spent most of my life in Chicago and grew up in many of the same neighborhoods IWS Family Health serves today.
This kinship and personal understanding of what our patients and their families face each day makes me eager to roll my sleeves up and work with our remarkable staff to provide the best care possible.
IWS Family Health has a rich legacy of seeing and meeting the needs of our diverse community. We firmly believe for families to thrive, they must have access to affordable, comprehensive care that sees the whole person.
In my role as CEO, I am committed to continuing our mission, serving our patients and staff thoughtfully, and providing high-quality care and comprehensive services, all in a warm environment.
