Our New, Shortened Name—Letter from CEO, Jerry

Since our founding in 1911, we have tirelessly sought to be a beacon of light for our community, caring for the needs of others. Over our century-long existence, IWS has evolved from infant care to what is now a robust service suite to provide for the needs of the WHOLE family. But we’re not done growing yet…

As we look ahead in our continued efforts to advance health equity for all, we are embracing a new, shortened name that represents our past, present, and future: IWS Family Health. This name encompasses our family-focused, whole-person approach to care while also reflecting our continued growth in the years to come.

Legally, we will still be the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago, serving patients at the Angel Harvey Family Health Center—there’s just far too much history to let that go. And we will remain rooted in our commitment to providing a continuum of integrated, quality, and preventive healthcare services to children and families, enabling them to lead healthy and productive lives.

But as IWS Family Health, we are embarking on an exciting new chapter that will enable us to remain at the forefront of community health for many more years.

Thank you for taking this journey with us… and welcome to IWS Family Health!

Be well,
Jerry

P.S. Moving forward, you can find us across all social platforms using the handle @IWSFamilyHealth and online at www.iwsfamilyhealth.org. Help us spread the news!
