Keep Your Child’s Vaccines On Track

COVID-19 has changed our world and how we go about our daily lives. You may have questions about how to keep up with your child’s well-checks and vaccination schedule.

The Angel Harvey Family Health Center is fully open and has instituted safety practices that protect you and your family from COVID.

Milestone checkups, also known as well-child visits, are important visits that give you and your child’s provider an opportunity to assess your child’s health and development. During a well-child visit, you can ask questions and discuss any concerns, while the provider evaluates your child’s overall health—their growth, strength, speech, sight, hearing, and weight.

Of even more importance, well-child visits may include vital vaccinations to protect your child from illnesses like measles, whooping cough, and hepatitis A and B. The Centers for Disease Control recommends that families maintain their child’s vaccination schedule.

Well-child visits are also a great time to schedule your child’s dental exam. It is best to see a dentist twice a year to prevent cavities and other serious dental problems. At IWS, families can schedule their medical and dental exams for the same day.

Please follow our safety guidelines, so you can put your mind at ease when you visit our clean, sanitary, and family-friendly clinic.
